RapidFlyer

In July 2019 the French online printing company RapidFlyer suffered a data breach that exposed the personal information of approximately 166 thousand customers. The incident involved an unauthorized access to the database containing sensitive details including full names and company associations. Security analysis revealed that passwords were stored using the weak MD5 hashing algorithm without any salt making them highly vulnerable to cracking. The leak also included contact details and business identifiers such as VAT numbers which could be used for targeted phishing or corporate espionage.
