Rathack.net a cybersecurity information exchange platform suffered a data breach in 2022 due to unauthorized access to its database. The incident resulted in the compromise of twelve thousand user accounts. Exposed data included email addresses, usernames, dates of birth, website information, and passwords stored using the MD5 hashing algorithm which is considered cryptographically weak and susceptible to cracking.
