In June 2017 the RecruitMilitary platform which serves as a job search engine for military veterans suffered a data breach. The incident led to the exposure of sensitive personal information belonging to approximately 850 thousand users. The leaked data included full names email addresses and phone numbers. The exposure occurred due to a vulnerability that allowed unauthorized access to the user database potentially putting veterans at risk of phishing and social engineering attacks.
