In June 2023 a significant data breach involving the Russian Electronic School educational platform resh.edu.ru was identified. The leaked database contains approximately 9.1 million user records. Investigation suggests the data was likely exfiltrated in December 2022. The compromised information includes internal identifiers, full names, email addresses, phone numbers, and salted password hashes. Additionally, technical metadata regarding educational institutions and user roles was exposed, posing risks of targeted phishing and credential stuffing attacks against students and teachers.
