In April 2022 the Russian state media outlet Ria.ru suffered a significant data breach. The incident was attributed to the NLB hacking group which targeted various Russian entities during that period. The leaked dataset consists of approximately 660 thousand user records. The compromised information includes personal identifiers and security credentials. The breach resulted in the public exposure of internal database contents including user emails and salted password hashes indicating a direct compromise of the website database infrastructure.
