In January 2024 a database belonging to the Yekaterinburg based online shoe retailer Robek was published on a dark web forum. The incident involved an unauthorized dump of customer and order information. The data set includes personal details of approximately 220,000 users. Technical analysis reveals that passwords were stored using the MD5 hashing algorithm without salt making them highly vulnerable to decryption. The breach exposes significant sensitive information including purchase history and physical delivery addresses.
