In January 2020 a significant data breach occurred involving the RocketText client tool which was previously known as Apexsms and later rebranded as Launchsms. The incident exposed a massive database containing personal information of approximately 32 million users. The leaked data included sensitive details such as physical home addresses and mobile operator information. The exposure appears to be related to an unsecured database or a system vulnerability that allowed unauthorized access to the customer records of the SMS marketing platform.
