In June 2020 the Russian online toy retailer Rtoy suffered a data breach that exposed the personal information of approximately 500 customers. The incident involved the unauthorized access and extraction of a database containing sensitive user details. The leaked information includes email addresses, full names, nicknames, account registration dates, and preferred communication languages. Additionally, customer phone numbers and passwords stored as MD5 hashes with salt were compromised, posing a security risk to those using similar credentials on other platforms.
