RushMyPassport

In June 2020 the US based expedited passport service RushMyPassport experienced a significant data exposure incident. The breach resulted in the unauthorized access or leak of records belonging to approximately 379000 customers. The compromised data set was comprehensive and included sensitive personal identifiers such as full names and dates of birth along with contact details like physical addresses phone numbers and email addresses. This incident posed a risk of identity theft and targeted phishing attacks for the affected individuals who used the service to accelerate their travel document applications.
