In 2016 the Russian political movement website rusnod.ru suffered a major security breach. An unauthorized party managed to access the backend database containing personal details of registered members and activists. The leaked information includes full names and cleartext passwords which poses a severe security risk to the affected individuals. The breach highlighted vulnerabilities in the platforms security posture at that time and was followed by subsequent incidents in later years. The data was widely circulated in the underground community and among political researchers.
