Rusnod.ru 2022

In August 2022 a database dump of the Russian political association rusnod.ru was leaked to the public. This security incident represents the third breach of the website following previous events in 2016 and 2021. The leaked data includes personal information of approximately 200 thousand users. Technical analysis reveals that the dump contains user names, job titles, phone numbers, and dates. Notably passwords were stored using the MD5 hashing algorithm without any salt which significantly increases the risk of credential cracking and unauthorized access to user accounts.
