Sad-i-Ogorod

In 2021 the Russian online retailer specializing in seedlings and garden supplies Sad-i-Ogorod experienced a data breach following a cyber attack on its infrastructure. The incident resulted in the exposure of approximately 500000 customer records. The compromised data included personal identifiers such as full names and physical addresses along with contact information. Security analysis revealed that user passwords were stored using MD5 hashing algorithms with salt which are considered vulnerable to modern cracking techniques. The breach posed a significant risk to users due to the combination of physical delivery addresses and contact details being leaked publicly.
