Sahibinden a prominent Turkish online marketplace and classifieds platform suffered a significant data breach in 2023. The incident resulted in the unauthorized exposure of personal information belonging to approximately 70000 users. Security researchers identified that the leaked dataset contained sensitive details including full names and contact information. The breach also exposed hashed passwords which poses a risk of credential cracking. The data appeared on various dark web forums where such information is often traded for phishing and social engineering attacks.
