ScentBird

In June 2020 the subscription fragrance service ScentBird experienced a significant data breach when a malicious actor gained unauthorized access to their database. The incident resulted in the exposure of personal information belonging to approximately 5.8 million users. The leaked data included names email addresses gender dates of birth and hashed passwords using the bcrypt algorithm along with password strength indicators. The breach was part of a larger collection of data being sold on dark web forums by a well known threat actor.
