School Bars Group

In mid 2022 a massive data breach affected the Russian educational platform School Bars Group which specializes in electronic school diaries and journals. The incident resulted in the exposure of sensitive personal information belonging to both students and staff members. The leaked data set allegedly contains approximately 7 million records with over 3 million unique individuals affected. The breach included highly sensitive government identifiers such as passport details and SNILS numbers alongside contact information. This incident highlights significant vulnerabilities in regional educational infrastructure and poses a long term risk of identity theft for the minors and employees involved in the system.
