In September 2024 the Russian e-commerce platform Shelkoviy Put which specializes in selling tandoors and outdoor cooking equipment experienced a data security incident. The breach resulted in the exposure of approximately 20 thousand user records. The leaked database includes sensitive customer details such as full names, email addresses, and mobile phone numbers. Additionally, system credentials were compromised in the form of bcrypt password hashes. The incident appears to be a direct database compromise affecting the customer base of the online store.
