A major data breach occurred at Ski.ru, a prominent Russian online platform specializing in winter sports equipment and apparel. On April 1, 2024, an unauthorized party gained access to the database, compromising personal details of over 430 thousand customers. The leaked dataset contains sensitive information including email addresses, phone numbers, full names, physical addresses, dates of birth, and IP addresses. Additionally, user passwords stored as MD5 hashes with salt were exposed, posing a significant security risk for those reusing passwords across multiple services.
