In January 2022 a database originating from the official SolidWorks customer forum was publicly exposed. The incident involved approximately 238000 records containing sensitive user information. The data appears to have been captured around March 2021 and includes personal identifiers such as full names and email addresses. Additionally the leak contained user passwords stored as cryptographic hashes. The exposure of this data potentially allowed unauthorized parties to access user profiles and related professional information hosted on the forum platform.
