SoundCloud confirmed a security incident involving unauthorized activity detected in late 2025. Attackers successfully mapped public profile data to private email addresses for roughly 20 percent of the user base. The breach resulted from an automated exploit that scraped information and linked it to account identifiers. After a failed extortion attempt against the company, the threat actors leaked the dataset publicly. The exposed records include sensitive account links and demographic information for millions of music creators and listeners globally.
