In November 2020 the gaming company Spacetime Studios suffered a significant data breach affecting its community forum. An external attacker known as Donjuji successfully gained unauthorized access to the database. The compromise resulted in the exposure of sensitive user account information for approximately 181 thousand members. The leaked data included usernames and email addresses along with passwords hashed using the vBulletin algorithm. Following the incident the company cooperated with the FBI and local law enforcement to investigate the cyberattack and mitigate risks to its user base.
