Spidermetrix

In 2017 the online survey platform Spidermetrix suffered a significant data breach involving approximately 693000 user accounts. The incident resulted in the unauthorized exposure of sensitive information including usernames and email addresses along with passwords that were reportedly stored in plain text format. The data dump was initially surfaced on the Raidforums community by a user known as GR4C3ann. While the exact technical method of the compromise remains unverified it highlights critical security failures regarding credential storage and database protection on the platform during that period.
