The breach exposes highly sensitive identification data including full names and Social Security Numbers of deceased individuals. Such data is frequently exploited by cybercriminals for synthetic identity theft and fraudulent tax filings. The scale of the exposure reached approximately 85 million records, making it one of the largest historical government related data releases of its kind.
