In 2022 the Russian brokerage company StForex experienced a significant data security incident. A database containing information of approximately 400000 clients was exposed and later published on various underground forums. The compromised data included personal identifiers such as full names along with contact details like mobile phone numbers and email addresses. This leak poses a high risk of targeted phishing and social engineering attacks against the affected financial investors.
