The online self storage directory StorageFront suffered a data breach in April 2020 which resulted in the exposure of personal information belonging to approximately 136 thousand customers. The incident involved the compromise of specific user credentials and personal identifiers. Investigations into the breach revealed that the vulnerability allowed unauthorized access to the backend database where customer records were stored. The security flaw led to the extraction of sensitive data points used for account management and identification on the platform.
