In early 2022 the denial of service platform known as Stresser.wtf suffered a data breach. The incident involved the exposure of its user database which contained sensitive details about the subscribers of the booter service. The leak typically occurs when backend databases are accessed through SQL injection or misconfigured server endpoints. The exposed information allows for the identification of individuals purchasing DDoS attacks which is often of interest to law enforcement agencies and security researchers tracking cybercrime activities.
