Stronghold Kingdoms

In July 2018 the online strategy game Stronghold Kingdoms suffered a significant data breach. The security incident led to the exposure of approximately 5.2 million user accounts. The compromised data included sensitive information such as email addresses and usernames. Additionally passwords stored as salted SHA1 hashes were leaked. The breach originated from a vulnerability in the games infrastructure which allowed unauthorized access to the central user database.
