In October 2022 the online community for high performance vehicle enthusiasts known as TheSuperCars.org suffered a data breach. The incident led to the exposure of approximately 13 thousand user records. The compromised data includes sensitive technical and personal identifiers such as member nicknames and email addresses alongside user IP addresses recorded during site activity. Additionally the leak contained registration dates and various user comments which may reveal personal preferences and opinions regarding automotive topics. The breach highlights vulnerabilities in niche automotive forum platforms where community data can be harvested by malicious actors.
