SwingManiacs

In January 2021 the Spanish dance school website SwingManiacs suffered a data breach that exposed the personal information of approximately 43 thousand participants. The incident involved an unauthorized access to the database containing student records. The leaked data included sensitive information such as full names physical addresses and telephone numbers. Additionally security analysis revealed that user passwords were stored using the weak MD5 hashing algorithm making them highly vulnerable to cracking and credential stuffing attacks.
