SwordFantasy

In January 2017 the online massively multiplayer online game SwordFantasy experienced a significant data breach. The incident resulted in the exposure of approximately 3.2 million user accounts. The compromised data included sensitive information such as usernames and email addresses. Furthermore technical details like IP addresses were leaked along with user passwords. The passwords were stored using MD5 hashing algorithms with salt which is considered a weak protection method by modern security standards. The breach allowed unauthorized access to a large volume of player data within the gaming community.
