In April 2023 the Ukrainian medical laboratory network Synevo suffered a significant data breach following a cyberattack by a pro Russian hacker group. The incident resulted in the exposure of a large database containing personal details of patients across Ukraine. The leaked information includes sensitive health service related metadata alongside personal identifiers. The scale of the breach is estimated at approximately 5 million records and was part of a broader series of cyber operations targeting critical Ukrainian infrastructure and service providers during the conflict.
