Tamodo

In February 2020 the affiliate marketing platform Tamodo suffered a significant data breach that exposed information from approximately 500000 user accounts. The compromised data was later published on a popular hacking forum after the company failed to respond to private security notifications. The leak originated from a server misconfiguration or unauthorized access to the network of the marketing service. Exposed details included personal identifiers and security credentials. Although passwords were hashed using the bcrypt algorithm the scale of the exposure posed a high risk for credential stuffing and phishing attacks against the affected users.
