In late December 2017, the online card game platform Tangkaskita experienced a significant security incident resulting in the exposure of user data. The breach affected approximately 12 thousand registered players and involved the unauthorized access to personal and financial information stored on the server. The data set included sensitive details such as nicknames, email addresses, and mobile phone numbers. Furthermore, internal identifiers and bank account details related to the Bola Tangkas card game transactions were compromised along with user IP addresses, increasing the risk of targeted financial fraud and identity theft for the affected Indonesian user base.
