Teespring

In December 2020 a major data breach involving the custom apparel platform Teespring was identified. The incident originated from an unauthorized access to the company database earlier in the year around April. The compromise exposed sensitive user information for millions of customers. The data was subsequently distributed on various underground forums. Investigations revealed that the breach likely occurred due to a vulnerability in the platform infrastructure allowing hackers to exfiltrate a large volume of user records including personal identifiers and social media links.
