In January 2025 the Spanish multinational telecommunications giant Telefonica suffered a significant data breach affecting both customers and internal operations. The incident resulted in the exposure of approximately 236000 client records alongside 469000 internal service requests. The compromised data includes sensitive user credentials such as logins and nicknames plus email addresses. Furthermore the leak revealed internal company processes and technical problem solving logs which could provide insights into the internal infrastructure and support workflows of the organization.
