THCtalk

In November 2017 the marijuana discussion forum known as THCtalk suffered a significant data breach. The incident involved the unauthorized access and extraction of the community database which was running on the vBulletin platform. The exposed data included sensitive user information such as usernames, email addresses, IP addresses, and dates of birth. Additionally, passwords stored as vBulletin hashes were compromised, posing a high security risk to individuals who reused passwords across other platforms. The breach affected approximately 82,000 registered members of the forum.
