TikTok

In early 2022 a massive dataset related to TikTok was circulated through Telegram channels. The collection consists of hundreds of gigabytes of parsed public data covering approximately 300 million videos. Investigation reveals that while the video count is high the unique author count is around 200 thousand users. The exposed information includes user nicknames logins view statistics comment counts profile avatar links and detailed video descriptions. This incident highlights the risks associated with large scale automated data scraping and parsing of social media platforms despite the information being technically public.
