Tnote

In January 2021 the South Korean service Tnote experienced a significant data breach affecting approximately 170000 users. The incident resulted in the unauthorized exposure of sensitive user information from the Tnote.kr platform. The compromised data included personal identifiers and account credentials. Security researchers identified that the breach occurred due to vulnerabilities in the application infrastructure allowing attackers to access the backend database. The leaked records contained user names, contact details, and device information along with passwords stored in an unspecified format. This incident highlights ongoing security challenges for localized mobile applications and web services in the region.
