About this leak

In April 2020 the Indonesian e-commerce giant Tokopedia suffered a massive data breach when hackers gained unauthorized access to its database. The incident involved the exposure of approximately 91 million user records. The stolen information included private details such as full names, email addresses, dates of birth, and genders. While user passwords were encrypted using the SHA2-384 hashing algorithm, the sheer scale of the breach and the subsequent sale of the database on darknet forums posed a significant security risk for millions of users across the region. The data was initially offered for sale for five thousand dollars before becoming more widely accessible.
