Totaljerkface

In August 2010 the gaming website Totaljerkface was reportedly involved in a security incident involving approximately 188 thousand user records. The data set included usernames email addresses IP addresses locations and passwords stored as bcrypt hashes. However subsequent analysis by security researchers suggested that the data may have been fabricated or originated from a different source rather than a direct compromise of the Totaljerkface servers. Despite the disputed origins the information circulated within the underground community as a legitimate breach for some time.
