TridentCryptoFund

In February 2020 the cryptocurrency investment platform Trident Crypto Fund suffered a significant data breach. An unauthorized party managed to access and leak the user database containing personal information of approximately 263000 individuals. The compromised data included sensitive details such as full names email addresses and phone numbers. Furthermore the leak contained IP addresses and passwords stored using the MD5 hashing algorithm which is considered cryptographically weak and susceptible to cracking. This incident exposed investors to increased risks of phishing and account takeover attacks.
