In early 2017 the German ecommerce platform TrustandBuy.de experienced a significant data breach. The incident led to the exposure of sensitive customer information stored within its database. Investigations revealed that the breach occurred due to vulnerabilities in the web application which allowed unauthorized actors to extract user records.
