In August 2023 the Ukrainian telecommunications provider Ukrtelecom suffered a data exposure involving approximately 170000 records. The incident came to light in early September when the database was found accessible in the public domain. The leaked data includes customer personal details such as full names physical addresses and mobile phone numbers along with information regarding specific connected services. This breach poses significant risks for targeted phishing and social engineering attacks against the affected subscribers in Ukraine.
