In early 2023 the Russian educational platform UROK.1C which provides training materials and certification resources suffered a significant data breach. The incident resulted in the exposure of approximately 190 thousand user records. The compromised data included personal information such as full names email addresses and mobile phone numbers. Additionally user passwords were leaked in the form of MD5 hashes with salt which are vulnerable to offline cracking attempts. This breach highlights ongoing security challenges for localized educational services within the region.
