VimeMC

In early 2018 the VimeMC Minecraft server experienced a significant security breach. An unauthorized party managed to gain access to the database containing information of approximately 500000 players. The compromised data included user nicknames and IP addresses as well as passwords stored as salted SHA1 hashes. This incident highlightes the vulnerability of private gaming servers to database injection or credential theft techniques.
