VK Parsing 2023

In early 2023 a massive dataset containing information on approximately 770 million VKontakte users was compiled through automated web scraping and parsing techniques. The incident involved the systematic extraction of public profile information across the entire social network. This large scale data collection includes personal identifiers such as full names, geographic locations, educational backgrounds, and other profile details. While not a direct hack of the internal infrastructure, the aggregation of such a vast amount of user data poses significant privacy risks for the affected individuals.
