In May 2023 the Russian pharmacy chain VolgoFarm experienced a significant data breach. A database containing customer information was leaked online. The public portion of the leak consisted of approximately 75000 records while a larger private dump reportedly contained 220000 records. The compromise included sensitive personal details such as mobile phone numbers and email addresses along with transactional data including order dates and total payment amounts. The breach exposes customers to potential phishing attacks and social engineering schemes targeting pharmacy clients.
