Warframe

In November 2014 the online video game Warframe suffered a data breach that exposed the personal information of over 819 thousand players. The incident was reportedly achieved via a SQL injection vulnerability targeting the web infrastructure. Compromised data included player names and email addresses. There was significant controversy regarding the PASS column which contained salted hashes using the Drupal 7 algorithm. While researchers identified these as password hashes the developers maintained they were pseudonyms used for internal identification rather than actual user credentials.
