In July 2012 the strategic shooter game War Inc Battlezone suffered a significant data breach. An unauthorized party gained access to the tactical games database resulting in the exposure of over one million user accounts. The compromised information included usernames and email addresses along with MD5 salted password hashes. While the initial large scale leak was widely circulated at the time much of the original data has since vanished from public forums leaving only smaller subsets of decrypted records available in modern archives.
