WayDate

In June 2016 the free dating platform WayDate experienced a security breach that exposed sensitive user information. The incident resulted in the compromise of personal details including full names and physical locations. Most critically the database contained passwords stored in plain text format making them immediately accessible to unauthorized parties. The leak also included technical data such as IP addresses and standard profile information like gender and date of birth. The breach impacted approximately 120000 individual user accounts.
