In March 2023 the Russian transportation and transfer booking service Willway suffered a security breach resulting in the exposure of its customer database. The incident involved the unauthorized access and subsequent publication of a database containing 7700 records. The leaked information includes personal details such as full names and email addresses along with physical addresses and professional workplace information. Additionally each record contains between one and three contact phone numbers for the affected clients. The breach highlights vulnerabilities in regional transport booking platforms and exposes users to potential phishing and social engineering attacks.
